I introduced three quarts of chilly water to a rolling, hard boil in not up to 15 minutes SET AT 250*F!
I had gumbo-soup to complete up so put nearly 2 quarts into the pot and set it on the quantity ''2'' for 200*F. IT BOILED! That simply is no longer that you can suppose of at 250 toes above sea degree, if the climatic characteristic control is working properly.
The auto shut-off on the regulate works but it sounds as if the current shunt does no longer operate in any respect when set close to or above 200*F. It just goes full blast(full current).
Pros:
a) the stainless steel is quality steel;
b) the manufacturing shows no defects of any kind;
c) it's weighty however now not too heavy to manipulate;
d) nice size ... now not too tall or too fat;
e) it is so beautiful and shiny ...I've by no means had any cooking gear that appears that good(in three0+ 12 monthss ...).
BUT the "magnetic" keep an eye on free up in reality stinks. It can barely stay on together with the weight of the wire. A clip is required, badly. I mean bumping the twine and it falls off?!? Ridiculous!
And considering I am unable to simmer the rest, the pot is mainly pointless for the 90% of the supposed purposes.

I wrote to Presto. If they've a repair for the so-called '' Control Master '' heat keep an eye restorationed on I'll update this or write every different.
I'd extremely counsel this if it was not for the defective warmth control.

Presto(NPI Customer Service) spoke back extremely quickly(next day).
They are sending a model fresh '' Control Master '' heat control unit at no additional cost to me other than the time spent.
As someone else mentioned in a overview of the non-stick version of this multi-cooker, the older version regulate unit works. I requested the older version but NPI Customer Service states that they can't send the previous version of control and must ship the brand new magnetic clip model.
If it does now not work Amazon is getting this cook dinnerer again so for every involved, let's anticipation it does.
I'll (try to) replace one way or the other.

Love the rubber feet on bottom and it smooths up beautifully; similar to Stainless Steel does. However, my temperture dial and keep an contemplate on is flawed and I can't use it on any setting except for 'barely on warm' or it goes into FULL ROLLING BOIL and the meals burns! This is suppose to be a deep fryer AND a slo cook dinnerer. Right now it is best an especially FAST and INTENSE Deep Fryer.
I have written and I expect to have a new gauge/cord soon. Hopefully, I simply acquired a bad cord and a fresh one will remedy the drawback I stated above. I had a PRESTO deep fryer together with ceramic insert FOREVER and LOVED it, however due to my losing a plastic lid into the bottom and not figuring out - I broken my pot of 15+ yrs. So I offered this inexperienced one. Here is hoping that replacing the faulty wire will resolve the temp drawback. Well, no longer the dishes. I have used it to fry eggs, cook meat sauce, hen, steak, ground red meat, sluggish cook dinner, boil water, build coffee, fry potatoes and veggies, stir fry, rice and more. If it may also be cook dinnered on range high it goes to cook dinner in this child. I have now notice a reduction in my gas/electric invoice combined totals. I would verbalize over all it prices slightly to purchase this, but you store on the whole lot else.
Why purchase every sorts of pots and pans when this will do it every.
As a bachelor I even have perfected my cuisine. I attempt to institute everything in only one pot.
